Message from the Superintendent

Speaking for over 500 employees and 3500 students, I am proud to serve as your community's superintendent of schools. We exist to serve the best interests of our students and our community, and we want to invite you to be a part of us. No school system can be a success without the support and faith of our parents, businesses, churches, community officials, and civic organizations.

BUTTS COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD RECOGNIZES
OUTSTANDING STUDENTS, STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS

The Henderson Middle School Academic Team placed 3rd in points and 3rd in wins and losses at the Griffin RESA Academic Bowl.

Team Captains Griffin Fletcher and Aatif Ahmed accepted the award on behalf of the team.
Team members are Aatif Ahmed, Stephen Cain, Montana Carter, Madison Cosby, Joba Duke, Griffin Fletcher, Caleb Green, Andrew Kish, Kiyaira Smith, Morgan Ward and Malan Wilder. The Academic Team Coaches are Saleha Ahmed and Dede Rowland.

REVISED 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR CALENDAR

The Butts County Board of Education voted to revise the 2011-2012 School Year Calendar at the September 21, 2011 School Board Meeting. The changes are as follows:

January 2, 2012 - Student Holiday/Teacher In-service Day
March 16, 2012 - School Day for Students and all staff.
